Summer Reading Program 2024

This year's Summer Reading Program theme is ADVENTURE BEGINS AT YOUR LIBRARY!
We are excited to welcome families back into the library for a full range of summer reading activities from June 15 – August 10, 2024.

Children ages 0-18 should be registered on or after June 15th at the UPV Library to receive a Choose Your Own Adventure sheet and a packet with all the programs and activities we will have available throughout the summer. If your child is under 3 ask about our Baby Bee Club!
Earn tickets by working through the adventures and completing the reading challenges! Tickets can be put in corresponding buckets by readers who hope to win the prize at the end of the summer. Teens can enter to win straight cash!

Pick up your adventure page and complete the sheet for prize tickets. Choose from 8 different adventure options! Complete one or try them all!

Summer activities will be held at the library unless otherwise stated.

STORY TIMES
The library will continue holding it's regular storytimes with Miss Wendy throughout the summer.

LEGO CLUB
Thursday mornings, 10:00am - 11:00am

Girls are invited to participate in this fun workshop! Participants will work in groups to create new ideas and build their own businesses. They will present their business to a panel of judges just like the on the show Shark Tank.
Please bring the following items to the workshop:

Bring your beach blanket and meet us at Centennial Park for fun, excitement, and friendly rivalry at our Beach Blanket Bingo!

Come for a 9-hole mini-golf course at Centennial Park! Feel free to drop by and enjoy a game.
Children must be accompanied by an adult!

SCIENCE SHOW

FAMILY ROLLER SKATING PARTY
Saturday, August 3 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Bring the whole family and enjoy two hours of skating! Rental skates will be provided. Snackbar food will be available for purchase!

NATURE SCAVENGER HUNT
Wednesday, August 7 at 9:30am
Join us for a fun nature scavenger hunt at Green Lane Park! We will meet in the picnic grove near the tennis courts off Green Lane Road.
