The Upper Perkiomen Valley Library is a welcoming space full of fun, learning and discovery. Stop by to visit our many animals, play in our Discovery Room, grab a seedling, join us for an event or browse our collection of books and movies. There’s always something happening at the library!
Children
Explore all of the exciting programs and resources that we have to offer for kids of all ages!
Our Children’s department offers a range of programming and materials to entertain and educate our young patrons. In addition to books and movies, we offer take-home “lessons in a box” on a variety of STEM topics as well as Literacy Kits that are packed with books, puzzles and games to help support early literacy. Our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and Reading Dragons programs are designed to encourage reading for children of all ages.
UPV Library has a robust schedule of children’s programming, including weekly storytimes, block play, S.T.E.A.M.-based activities and more.
STORYTIMES
Bring the kids to one of our many storytimes at the library with our children’s librarian Miss Wendy as well as special guests from the community! Visit the calendar to see our upcoming story times.
Reading Dragons
Children in grades K-8 can track their reading, collect dragon trading cards, and help their dragon evolve, all while learning good reading habits and gaining a lifelong love of reading!
Discovery Room
If you’re looking for a place to learn and play, stop by and visit our Discovery Room. It’s full of activities to support early development in S.T.E.A.M.

For Anime fans aged 15-22 to gather and discuss all things anime. Monthly meetings include trivia, crafts, movies, snacks and conversation.

Knitted Together
Facilitated by a passionate, self-taught knitter and library staff member, Robyn Kermes, the gathering is whatever the group desires- come to knit, crochet, weave, sew, or any other crafting you enjoy.
Socrates Cafe
Build tolerance and understanding through conversation! This welcoming group meets to discuss philosophical and ethical questions of the day. They seek to listen, not to persuade.
Afternoon Game Club
Make some time for fun and join our afternoon game club. Play one of our games or bring your own.

Computer Services
Computers
The library has three computers equipped with Internet access as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access for patron use. Visitors without library cards are welcome; just ask for a guest pass at the circulation desk. Computers shut down automatically fifteen minutes before closing.
INTERNET
We offer free wireless internet. Wireless internet users are subject to some of the terms of the library’s internet policy, but there are no time limits for patrons using their own devices.
Printing
The library has a printer available through the library computers for patron use. Printer use fees are $0.15 per page; only black and white laser prints are available.
Scanner
The library has a scanner available. Patrons can scan documents and photos and save them to a flash drive. The scanner is free to use.
We do not offer FAX Services.
Community Room
The library has a community room available for use by the public, organizations, and businesses. This room is available on a first-come, first-served basis and requires a signed premises use agreement.
The Community Room may be reserved for $25.00 by any non-profit educational, civic, or cultural organization that does not charge for attendance, other than to offset expenses. Individuals and for-profit organizations may be permitted to reserve the room for approved activities for a fee of $75.00 for each time the room is used.
